CastPilot started in a home studio with two podcasters who were tired of the same loop every week: finish recording, transcribe, scrub for the best 60 seconds, write show notes from scratch, rewrite the highlights for X, draft a different version for LinkedIn, pack it all into an email, and ship before midnight. Six hours a week. And we still missed weeks.
When the LLMs started handling real audio, we saw the path immediately: not a single "AI co-pilot" you have to prompt every time, but a full agent that runs the entire operation from upload to inbox. We benchmarked against every tool on the market — Castmagic, Headliner, Descript — and kept landing on the same conclusion. None of them were autonomous. They all still needed you. So we built CastPilot to be the agent we always wanted.
Today, CastPilot runs the post-production for independent podcasters in the open beta. We are a small, founder-led team shipping every week. Every feature you use was scoped alongside real hosts who push back when something is dumb. The mission is simple: make running a podcast feel like recording one again.
